What
Scouting is a global organisation supported by volunteers.

Why
The aim of Scouting is to develop children (boys and girls) physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually through an approved programme of activities.

How
These challenges take the form of games, badge-work, learning new skills, working in teams, making friends etc.
Qualified Leaders with parental support and helpers deliver the programme. All parents are encouraged to fully participate and support Scouting though rotas - and to have fun too ! All activities are carried out in accordance with the Scout Association rules and are risk assessed; all Leaders are trained. All adults involved are CRB cleared.

We are a Charity and accordingly are directed by a Board of Trustees and hold elections annually. We are governed by the Scout Association as detailed in Policy Organisation and Rules (POR) and also our own local Policies which cover Waiting Lists, Fundraising, Data Protection Control, Finance, and Risks and Safety.
