Cubs (ages 8 – 10½)

The Cub Scout section involves boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 10½ years. The Cub Pack comprises of around 24 children.

Brunton Park has two Cub Packs who each meet on Monday evenings (6:30 – 8:00) and Thursday evenings (6:00 – 7:30) during term time.

The Cub Scout programme is packed with opportunity, fun and adventure, and is designed to present every young person with new challenges and begins preparing them with ‘Skills for Life’. Each Cub Scout will undertake ‘Challenge’ and ‘Activity’ badges during their time in the Pack and also have the opportunity to go on special events and camping for a full weekend, for the first time.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
