Beavers (ages 6-8)
Beaver Scouts are for boys and girls aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family.
Brunton Park Beavers has 2 Colonies (24 children in each) who hold meetings either on:
Wednesday evenings (6:00 – 7:00) or Friday evenings (5:30-6:30) each week during term time.
We are always on the look out for additional volunteer/helpers, both on a regular and occasional basis. NB you don’t need to have a child in the section to be able to help.
Young people can register to join and begin attending Beaver Scouts in the 3 months leading up to their sixth birthday provided places are available. Beavers move up to our Cub section once they reach 8 years.
New Beavers are invited to join the Colony, in batches of about 4 children, usually each term (as places become available).
Beavers are easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts and blue and white neckerchiefs, and enjoy making friends, playing games, making things, new challenges, going on visits and helping others. Please check out the news/activities section to see some of the things we do.
We do have a great team of Leaders, Parents and children, and enjoy plenty of fun – please let us know if you require more information and are interested in joining or volunteering.
