Skills for Life

We prepare young people with ‘skills for life’ and welcome both girls and boys. You can make new friends and learn about survival skills, first aid, cooking and even expedition skills that can lead on to Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Welcome to Brunton Park

Originally we formed as the 1st Brunton Park as part of Northumberland, and then became the 42nd Newcastle when boundaries changed. In the mid 1960’s we were renamed 10th Gosforth before finally becoming ‘Brunton Park Scout Group’ in the year 2000. We are based in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, and are situated near to Gosforth Park Race Course.

Over the years we have always had a steady intake of children enjoying quality activity programmes with a combination of long standing Leaders and new Leader/helper support. This, combined with recent new housing developments has increased the local interest to experience Scouting and so we are growing our Group and Sections to meet this demand by recruiting additional Leaders.
