We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

We prepare young people with ‘skills for life’ and make new friends – girls and boys, learn survival skills, first aid, cooking. Experience everyday fun and adventure with opportunities to help others and make a positive impact.

Welcome to Brunton Park

Brunton Park Scout Group comprises of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. During 2025 we plan to open Squirrels (ages 4 to 6 years).
We are based in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, situated near to Gosforth Park Race Course. Originally we formed as the 1st Brunton Park as part of Northumberland, then became 42nd Newcastle as local boundaries changed. In the mid 1960’s we were renamed 10th Gosforth before finally becoming ‘Brunton Park Scout Group’ in the year 2000.

Over the years we have always had a steady intake of children enjoying quality activity programmes with a combination of long standing Leaders and new Leader/helper support. This, combined with recent new housing developments has increased the local interest to experience Scouting and so we are growing our Group and Sections to meet this demand by recruiting additional Leaders.
