Opening of New Beaver Colony – Thursday Evenings – Brunton Park Scout Group. Autumn 2019.

The first meeting will take place on 19th September 2019.

In response to local demand in the surrounding area Brunton Park Scout Group have opened up a second Beaver Colony meaning that we now have doubled in numbers – there are now 48 children in total , girls and boys, attending Beavers in two equal and separate sections/ meeting respectively on Wednesday and now Thursday evenings too. The NEW Beavers will run initial ‘start-up’ evening programmes to allow Beavers and their new adult volunteer Leaders and Helpers (comprising mainly from Parents) to settle in gradually and grow in confidence.

It is envisaged that, once established and stable, the activity programmes for each section will be aligned to make planning and organisation compatible across both sections. This allows the Beavers Leaders of both sections to work together as a team and support each other too to provide similar experiences/some joint activities for all Beavers.
